Betty Louise Connatser, 71, of Sevierville, passed away Thursday September 21st, 2017. She was born and raised in Sevier County. Betty was loved by many, and could always be counted on to bring a positive attitude or word of encouragement to those around her. Her smile would light up the room, and her sense of humor could not be matched. Even through her battle with cancer she remained upbeat, even offering to help others wherever she saw a need. In June 2014, after 33 years with the Sevier County Ambulance Service, Betty retired so she could spend more time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. Betty was a devoted mother, mother-in-law, and Mamaw. She always made sure that her family knew how much they were loved and appreciated. Her presence in their lives, and the lives of so many others, will be terribly missed. But, as she recently told one of her grandsons, “I will see you again, and we will all be together again.” Betty’s legacy of faith will be carried on, and she will remain close to our hearts until we are all together again.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Odell and Emmalee Connatser; and her sister, Sue McFall.
She is survived by her son, Scott Connatser and wife, Christie; and grandsons, Eli Connatser, Joseph and Zachary Jordan; her brother-in-law, Jack McFall; nephews, Jeffery T. McFall and his wife, Debbie, and Chad McFall and his wife, Cindy; great-nephew and great-niece, CJ, and Cailyn McFall; her sister, Norma Jean Connatser Colombo; her aunt, Imogene Baker; several cousins; her special friend, Stella Caughorn; and many other friends who thought of her as family.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 5:00 PM on Sunday, September 24th, 2017, followed by a memorial service at 5:00 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville with Pastor James McFalls officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.atchleyfuneralhome.com
