Connatser, age 79, of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a 50 Year Mason of Rockford Lodge #469. He was born January 24, 1931, in Sevierville, to the late James Walter Connatser and Martha Aileen Viles Connatser McCroskey. He worked for Southern Railroad Company and retired from ALCOA after 35 years of service. After taking early retirement, he and his wife, Nancy, were devoted to their senior mothers and managed to do some traveling thru the years. He loved fishing and hunting. He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Nancy Russell Connatser; daughters and sons-in-laws; Jamie C. and W. Phillip Reed of Louisville and Shirley Gay Connatser and Greg Tipton of Maryville; treasured grandsons, Brandon James Connatser of Maryville and Benjamin James Reed of Knoxville; and a great-granddaughter who always brought a smile to his face, Bre’ Ann Nicole Connatser. His family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation to Michelle of Palliative Care; the caring staff of Blount Hospice; and Beth, Lori, and all the wonderful staff at 2E Blount Memorial Hospital. Funeral service will be held 7:00 PM Friday, October 15, 2010, at Miller Funeral Home Cedar Chapel, Rev. Ben Ward officiating. Entombment service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
