Charles Gaston Harrill, 78 of 105 Oak Forest Drive, died August 15, 2009, at his residence. He was born April 9, 1931 son of the late Earl and Leora Hill Harrill in Wadesboro, NC; he was a retired Air Traffic Controller, a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Riverside Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Nelma Watson Harrill of the home; two sons, Charles David Harrill and wife Vanda of Senoia, GA, and Joseph Mark Harrill and wife Tammy of Greer; a daughter, Cathy Stewart of Greer; two sisters, Juanita Carver of Rutherfordton, N.C. and Better McCuster of Tennessee; ten grandchildren, Charles Caleb Harrill, Ashlee Diane Harrill, David Andrew Harrill, Christian Stewart, Christa Stewart, Kamren Harrill, Karsen Harrill, Mandy Reames, Josh Merck and Cody Merck. Mr. Harrill was predeceased by three brothers, Wilburn Harrill, John B. Harrill and Yates Harrill, one sister Virginia Hill. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Riverside Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Drew Hines and Rev. Marcus Buckley. Burial will be in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens in Sevierville, Tennessee.
