Lillie Beatrice Barker LaFollette, age 89 of Sevierville, went home to be with her precious Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 22, 2012. She was born December 9, 1922 to Dicie and W.H. Barker. She was a wonderful wife, mom, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church and loved Jesus and her family very much.
Mrs. LaFollette was preceded in death by her husband, Paul James LaFollette; grandson, Mark Atchley; mom and dad, Dicie (Laymon) and W.H. Barker; sisters, Nancy Allen, Alfrettia Bailey, Marie Loveday, Joy Loveday and Sally; brothers, Homer, Beecher, Richard, Hudson and Bryan Barker.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Ray Parrott, Gail and Kearme Atchley; son and daughter-in-law, J.R. and Glenda LaFollette; grandchildren and spouses, Ricky and Buffy LaFollette, Tonya and John Lee, Shannan and Michael White, Jeremy and Jessica Atchley; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Evan White, Liberty Atchley, Hanna, Jacob and Brady Lee, Bailey and Max LaFollette. The family wishes to express a special “thank you” to all the caregivers over the past 12 years.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Walnut Grove Baptist Church, Building Fund, c/o Judy Parrott, 106 Crossover Road, Sevierville, TN 37876.
The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Thursday with funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Dewayne White, Rev. W.W. Cope and Rev.
