Robert Douglass, age 85 of Sevierville, died Sunday, July 13, 2003 at his home. He was a member of Alder Branch Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nanie Elizabeth Douglass, grandson, Tommy Douglass Parrott, parents, R.M. and Bettie Douglass, brothers, Sam, Hugh, and Lee Douglass, sisters, Irene Ingle and Anna Mae Householder.
Survivors: Daughters and Sons-in-law: Louise D. and Rush Parrott, Charlotte and Donald Proffitt Son: Eddie (Edd) Douglass 8 Grandchildren 10 Great Grandchildren 2 Great-Great Grandchildren Several Step Great Grandchildren and Step Great-Great Grandchildren Sisters-in-law: Mary Mize and Estalee Bales Several nieces and nephews Funeral service 7 PM Tuesday in the West Chapel of Atchley
Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Hudson, Rev. Dallas Gibson, Rev. Glen Metts, and Rev. Curtis Wells officiating. Interment 10 AM Wednesday in Alder Branch Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and his Sunday school class will will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Tuesday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
