Joseph Walter Baker, 68, of Greenback died at his home Tuesday, November 5, 2002.He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the Vietnam era.He is preceded in death by his parents, Jason and Sarah Cutshaw Baker.Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Hazel Parker Baker; sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Tracey Baker Jr. of Columbia, S.C., Richard and Beth Baker of Maryville; daughter and son-in-law, Jeana and Drew Korbe of Mobile, Ala.; two grandchildren; brother, Junior Baker of Sevierville; sister, Georgia Baker of Mascott.The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends will meet Friday at 9:50 a.m. at Piney Grove Cemetery in Greenback for a 10 a.m. graveside service with the Rev. Dallas Moore officiating.
