Ray Lindsey, age 87 of Sevierville, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, September 8, 2005, while surrounded by his family. He was a member of Alder Branch Baptist Church, a charter member of the Sevier County Rescue Squad and a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents Zadie and Marshall Lindsey, brothers Coy and Lonzo Lindsey, and an infant sister.

Devoted and loving wife of 59 years: Vivian A. Lindsey
Son and daughter-in-law: Norman and Marie Lindsey
Granddaughters: Lorie Hedrick and husband Jeff, Leslie Lindsey
Great-granddaughters: Lindsey and Katelyn Hedrick

Funeral service 7 PM Saturday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. James Hutson officiating. Interment 2 PM Sunday in Alder Branch Cemetery. Military honors provided by American Legion Post # 104. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Mr. Lindsey’s Adult Sunday school class.
