LUALLEN, OWEN L., SR. - age 88, January 22, 2004. Mr. Luallen was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Atchley Luallen. He was a graduate of Knoxville High School and attended the University of Tennessee and was a former member of Arlington Baptist Church. Mr. Luallen was a member and former deacon at Crievewood Baptist Church in Nashville, Tenn., a decorated veteran of World War II, a retired engineer from South Central Bell, member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #2221, member of John B. Garrett Lodge #771 F&AM, a 32nd Degree Mason, Scoutmaster and was instrumental in starting the Boys Club of Nashville and was the first president of Norman Binkley School PTA. Survived by daughter, Gwen Luallen son, Owen L. Luallen, Jr. beloved granddaughter, Myreh C. Luallen. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, January 25, 2004 at 2 p.m. at the Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road by Dr. L. Joseph Rosas. Graveside service and interment will be Monday at 1 p.m. EST at Lynnhurst Cemetery Knoxville. Honorary pallbearers, Howard Hines, Jack Keys of Dallas, TX, Bill Ross of Knoxville, Harlan P. Ross and Nick Komninos both of Denver, Colo. and Doyle Boyd of Murfreesboro, Tenn. Active pallbearers, Terry Weakley, Jim Casselberry, Joe Rives, Bill Forseythe, John Keaton, Bill Brooks, Howard Pitts and Allen Campbell. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Masonic memorial services will be conducted Saturday at 7 p.m. by John B. Garrett Lodge. Vvisitation Sunday 1-2 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home Hickory Chapel, 615-331-1952.
