MILLER, GLADYS ALLEN - age 98 of Kodak, Tennessee went to meet her Heavenly Father at 7:30 PM Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Sevier County Health Care Center. She has been a member of French Broad Baptist Church since she was a child. In her early years she worked hard and did many things for her church. She was the pianist and taught children's Sunday School class for several years. In her later years she had to struggle with many physical ailments, but she is free now of all those things and is happy as she has seen the glory of God. She was a very faithful and loyal member who loved the Lord and all of her friends at church. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ray C. Miller, who passed away in 1973; her parents, Dennis and Myrtle Moore Allen; brothers, Verne, Moore, and Orville Allen. She is survived by: daughter, Carolyn Miller Jones and husband Robert of Seymour, Tennessee; sons, Allen Miler and wife Peggy of Huntsville, Alabama, Joe Miller and wife Deanna of Straw Plains, Tennessee; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a very special nephew, Glynn Bailey of Kodak, Tennessee; and a very special niece, Ann King of Knoxville, Tennessee. The family will have a private graveside service. Family and friends may call at their convenience Noon-4 PM Sunday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. (www.atchleyfuneralhome.com)
