Mr. Allen was born in Sevierville, Tenn., and had been a Peninsula resident for 43 years. He retired as a master sergeant from the U.S. Air Force in 1952 and was a veteran of World War II. He also retired from civil service in 1968 after 16 years. Survivors include his wife, Dora Ruth Allen; two daughters, Jerri McManis of Jonesboro, Ga., and Brenda Allen of Clairmont, Calif.; two sons, Harry Allen of San Francisco, Calif. and Larry Allen of Poquoson; two sisters, Dixie Chaney and Irene Ailey, both of Sevierville; two brothers, Fred Allen of Hampton and James Allen of Sevierville; and six grandchildren. A funeral will be held at Atchley Funeral Home Chapel in Sevierville. Burial will be in Hills Union Cemetery, Dandridge, Tenn. R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home is in charge locally.
