(November 29, 1915 - August 8, 2006) Ella Allen Kyker, age 90, of Newport, passed away, Tuesday, August 8, 2006 after a lengthy illness. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her great grandchildren were a special joy in her life. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, James Edward Kyker, who passed away, July 16, 2006; parents, George W. and Rhoda G. Allen; sisters, Juanita Brooks and Gladys Allen; brothers, George Allen, Jr., Earl G. Allen and John W. Allen. She is survived by her children, Mary Jane Williams, of Newport; Charles Edward Kyker and wife Ann of Greeneville, J. Carroll Kyker and wife Janet, of Newport; Linda Parks and husband Jerald, of Parrottsville; grandchildren, Cindy Pace and husband Larry, Ricky Williams, Tina Williams, Paige Rhodes and husband Eddie, Mark Kyker and wife Lesley, all of Newport; Matt Parks and wife Amanda of Johnson City, Mindy Combs and husband Landon, of Blountville, Denise Ramsey, of Boaz, Ala,. and Deneen Ahluwalia and husband Sereyerp , of Burbank, Calif.; great grandchildren, Jagger Kyker Ahluwalia, Ella and Abigail Combs, Kaitlyn Kyker, Danielle Williams, Travis Pace, Earl E. Rhodes IV (Dusty), Nicholas Rhodes and Cadence Parks; special friends, W.C. and Mary Vinson; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 7:30 pm, Thursday, August, 10, 2006, at Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Charlie Boggan officiating. Interment will be held 10:00 am, Friday, August 11, 2006 in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 pm Thursday, at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 232 Southside Circle, Newport, TN 37821.
