Valentine, 19, of Cosby died Friday, July 5, 2002, at University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.He was a 2001 graduate of Cosby High School and was employed by Outback Steakhouse in Gatlinburg.He was a member of the Praise World Outreach Center in Morristown.He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jennie and Junior Valentine; great-grandparents and an aunt.Survivors include his mother, Sandie Ford Valentine of Cosby; father and stepmother, Gerald and Reba Valentine of Cosby; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Candis Valentine of Honolulu, Hawaii; sister, Jacqui Rogers and Eric Miller of Cosby; nephew, Austin Miller of Cosby; grandparents, Edsel and Bobbie Ford of Cosby; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Costner-Maloy Funeral Chapel in Newport with the Rev. Robert Williamson, Pastor Ron Sills and the Rev. Cleo Williamson officiating.Interment will be at the Valentine Family Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Costner-Maloy.
