James Earl Shultz age 77 of Sevierville, TN. went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 9, 2006 at Ft. Sanders Sevier Nursing Home in Sevierville.
A devoted father and husband who proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II and the Korean Conflict and retired from the City of Gatlinburg after 30 years as an employee in the utility Dept.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Wilson Shultz; parents, Rev. Lawrence and Deffie Trentham Shultz; brothers, Shirl, Lawrence Jr. and Ralph Shultz, brother-in-laws, Herman Morgan and Luther Wilson.
Survivors include his children and their spouses, Timothy and Rebecca Shultz of Sevierville; James B. and Kristi Shultz of Sevierville; Cindy and Stephen Craft of Strawberry Plains; Patricia and Floyd Raths of Southgate, MI; James Djerl and Anita Shultz of Stanton, CA; grandchildren, Kathryn Shultz; Tyler Shultz; Shane Craft; Makayla Carr; Dylan Moore; Suzanne Starkey; Jennifer Shultz; Brittany Williamson; Ethan Shultz; Timothy D. Shultz; Samuel Reagan; Zachary Shultz; all of Sevierville. Tony Raths and Kevin Raths both of Southgate, MI; Lisa Limon and Crystal Zeanez both of Stanton, CA; Numerous great grandchildren; Sister, Louise Kessinger of Williamson, W.V.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 13, 2006 at Rawlings Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Ownby and Rev. Ed Cloud Officiating.
A special thanks to Ft. Sanders Sevier Nursing Home for their special care of our Dad. And a special thanks to friends and family who have helped through Dad’s sick and hard times, especially Darlene and Vander Boom.
Interment will follow the service in Shiloh Cemetery in Pigeon Forge, TN.
The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at Rawlings.
