GROVER HALL, age 82, of Dandridge and White Pine, TN passed away Sunday morning, August 22, 2010. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Swannsylvania Baptist Church. Grover was a popular businessman of Jefferson Co. having worked in the Hosiery and Textile industry for over 40 years and was founder and vice-president of Tennessee Machine Hoisiery of Dandridge where he retired in 1990. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid competition trap shooter.
Preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Ada Mae Martin Hall; infant daughter, Teresa Hall; sisters, Ollie Mae Miller and Emma Faye Lane; brother, Charles Hall.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Denton Hall;
children, Myra (Jim) Samples, Rex (Kathy) Hall, Brenda (Michael) Talley, Mark Hall and Steve (Heather) Hall; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; special pet, his Chihuahua, Nina.
Funeral service will be held Monday, 8:00pm at Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. Mike Hensley and Rev. Dennis Strange officiating. Interment graveside services, Tuesday, 10:00am at Swannsylvania Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorials be made to God's Willing Vessel Food Pantry, Swannsylvania Baptist Church, 921 Swannsylvania Rd., Dandridge, TN 37725. Family will receive friends, Monday evening, 6:00 to 8:00pm prior to services at FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, DANDRIDGE, 865-397-2711
