He was a truck driver for over 20 years and a local car salesman for several years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milburn and Bertie Williams; brothers, Sherman Williams, Gabby Williams, and Wayne Williams; and brother-in-law, Harry Smallwood. Survivors include his daughter, Dottie Sue Brown; son-in-law, Dwight Brown; daughter, Sandra Denise Williams; son, Samuel Ray Williams Jr.; daughter-in-law, Jolene Williams; son, Marty Dale Williams; ex-wife, Sue Williams; step daughter, Debbie Burgin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Herman and Irene Williams, Jack and Francis Williams, Theodore and Theda Williams; sisters and brothers-in-law, Opal and Leroy Mathis, Helen and Charles Grooms, and Ailene and Freddy Costner; sister, Olene Smallwood; grandchildren, Melinda Styles, Chad Styles, Saxton Williams, Samantha Williams, Jordon Williams, Brooke Campbell, Brittany Shipley, and Daron and Deana Burgin; great-grandchildren, Chad Dwayne Styles II and Jarod Scott Jones; and special friend, Charlotte Nan Mims.
