HESTER MAE S. CULLOP, age 91 of Whitesburg, formerly of Cocke County, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband; William J. Cullop, daughter; Patricia Phillips McMillon, mother; Eva Brown, father; Robert Walker, sisters; Florence Walker, Ida Phillips and Eula Derosier, brothers; Steve Brown, Tye Brown, Kelly Brown and Buck Brown.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law; Lewis T. and Etta Phillips of Whitesburg, granddaughters; Tracey Brune and her husband Charlie of Morristown and Shannie Phillips of Whitesburg, sisters; Charity Shults of Newport and Myrtle Rash of Greeneville, SC, several nieces, nephews and a host of Friends.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2009 in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Brewer and the Rev. Brian Wilson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:50 a.m. on Saturday, October17, 2009 in Hamblen Memory Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Hospital.
