KELLEY, GWINDLEN DAVIS - age 81, widow of Archie Kelley, of Smithfield Rd., Coker Creek, walked through the open doors of Heaven at 4:30 A.M. Thursday, October 12, 2006 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Faithful and devoted member of Altoona Baptist Church. Known throughout the community to many children as "Granny Kelley". Survivors: daughters & sons-in-law, Tonya Kelley, Gail & Doug Hill, Sue & Steve Moore; sons & daughters-in-law, Bill & Carolyn Kelley, Rex & Brenda Kelley, Rev. Mark & Beatrice Kelley, Royce & Stephanie Kelley, Eddie & Gwenda Kelley, Tim & Holly Kelley, all of Tellico Plains, Freddie & Terri Kelley, Madisonville, Terry & Diane Kelley, Princeton, W.Va., Suzan Kelley, Tellico Plains; 30 wonderful grandchildren; 17 adored great-grandchildren; sisters & brothers-in-law, Edith & Glenn Morrow, Ellijay, Ga., Bea & Jim Irons, Powell; brother & sister-in-law, James & Marlene Davis, Cleveland; many special nieces & nephews; special caregiver and daughter-in-law, Terri Kelley. Preceded in death by her sweet baby girls, Gloria and Sandra, precious son, Danny, parents, Fred & Ether Davis, sisters, Aretta Tate, Nina McCarter, Maggie Irons Morrow, brothers, Arville and Albert Davis. Funeral 2 P.M. Sunday, Altoona Baptist Church, Rev. Gale Miller & Rev. Donnie Houston officiating. Interment Coker Creek Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Saturday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Tellico Plains.
