Widby, Albert David, age 90, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2008. Albert was a loving and devoted husband and father. He was of the Baptist Faith and a supporter of IBJM, which works to introduce the Jewish community to Jesus Christ. Predeceased by his: parents, Major and Nora Widby; several brothers and sisters; wife of 65 years, Reba Mildred Widby; sons, David Earl and Gerald Lynn Widby.
Survivors
Survivors include: sons, Charles Widby, Don Widby (Helen), Rob Widby (Jean), Tim Widby (Julie); daughters, Brenda Hannah (Ron), Debbie Woods (Edd); 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
Service
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the International Board of Jewish Missions (P.O. Box 1386, Hixson, TN, 37343). The family will receive friends at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel on Tuesday, from 6 to 8 pm. Friends and family will meet at the funeral home at 12:45 pm Wednesday, for 1 pm graveside services in Lynnhurst Cemetery, Rev. Charlie McNutt officiating.
