June 30, 1947 - May 7, 2014 Resided in South Knoxville, TN Sue Gates, age 66, of South Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Beverly Park Nursing Home. She was a member of East Sunnyview Baptist Church. She retired from Levi's after 30 years of service. Sue loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren at the lake and in the mountains, they always put a smile on her face playing and having fun. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Grace Henry. Survivors: Husband: Jerry Gates Son and daughter-in-law: Charlie Pierson and wife Heather Daughter and son-in-law: Rhonda Reno and husband Rick Step-son: Jeremiah Gates Grandchildren: Tosha Humphrey and husband Brian, Brittany Reno, Brandon Reno, Ashley Reno, Cody Reno, Casey and Chase Reno, Hannah Pierson, Justin and Devon Pierson. Brothers and sisters-in-law: Bud Henry, Larry Henry and wife Brenda, David Henry and wife Debra, Jerry Henry, and John Henry. Sisters and brothers-in-law: Mae Lou Goins and husband Marvin, Lavern Ogle, Stella Neher and husband Joe, Freida Smith and husband Glenn. Several nieces and nephews The family would like to thank the staff at Beverly Park Nursing Home For their care and compassion for Sue. Funeral Service 7 PM Saturday in Atchley's Seymour Chapel with Rev. Robert Burns officiating. Graveside service and interment 2 PM Sunday in Cedar Grove Cemetery with Rev. Danny Large Officiating.
