  [S24] The Newport Plain Talk, (http://www.newportplaintalk.com), 21 Apr 2002. Doyle Dyke, 79, of Bybee, went to be with the Lord Sunday, April 21, 2002 at Takoma Hospital in Greeneville. He was a farmer and a Baptist by faith. Mr. Dyke served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of WW II. His parents, Eddie and Erdella Holt Dyke; sister, Junie Giriad; and brother, Wesley Dyke, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Raree Talley Dyke, of Bybee; son, Eugene Dyke and his wife, Flora Sue, of White Pine; daughters: Shirley Webb and her husband, Hansel, of Cosby; and Kathy Dawson and her husband, Danny, of Bybee; sisters: Lola Moehring, of Cleveland, Ohio; and Kathrine Buckner, of Bybee; brothers: J.D. Dyke and his wife, Virginia, of Newport; Earl Dyke and his wife, Geneva, of Bybee; C.B. Dyke and his wife, Grace, of White Pine; and Glen Dyke, of Bybee; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Dyke will also be missed by several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral service will be Wednesday afternoon, April 24, 2002 at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Dalton officiating. Interment will follow at Clay Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, April 23, 2002 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Military service will be conducted by LCPL Charles C. Roberts DAV Chapter 102 of Newport.
