DEW, RUTH GIBSON - age 89 of Fountain City went home to be with our Lord on Saturday October 14, 2006. She was a member of Central Baptist Church of Fountain City since January 1953, She was a faithful servant of Christ and a caring, loving wife and mother. She was also a dear friend to many who knew her over the years. Her life was an example of serving, giving, and loving every day and every opportunity. She is now in the presence of our Lord, but will be greatly missed by family, friends, and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Gertrude Gibson and grandson Charles Nicholson. She leaves behind her husband Howard A. Dew, Jr.; daughter Debbie Dew and husband Keith Nicholson; sons Howard A. Dew, III, and J. Michael and wife Angela Dew; beloved sister Nellie and husband William S. Jones; niece Judy and husband Charles Brook; nephew Jamie Jones; grandson Chris Freeman; granddaughter Leah Nicholson; great grandsons Tyler Freeman, and Conner Thone; great granddaughter Katelynn Freeman; several grand and great nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet at main entrance to Greenwood Cemetery at 1:45 P.M. Friday for graveside services at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Ron Mouser officiating.
