She was preceded in death by her husband Buford E. Atchley; parents Blaine and Birdie Walker; son-in-law James Steven Maples; great-grandson James Cullen Morris; and brothers, Glenn H. and Jimmy Blaine Walker. She was a nurse in Sevier county for many years. “Mamaw Jo” was a loving woman who cared deeply for her family and the thousands of patients she had treated. Survivors: Daughters: Linda Maples and Susie Knight Son and daughter-in-law: Gene and Helen Atchley Grandchildren: Tishia and Daniel Morris, Tara and Cliff Torrence, Joy Maples Huff, Janel and Nathan Buice and Whitney Maples, Amy Atchley France, Jesse Atchley, Ashley and Roger Ramsey and Noel and Dustin Shultz, and a host of great-grandchildren Sisters: Beulah McCarter, Betty Lou Hoffman, and Judy Cameruca Brother: Sam K.
