Melborn Reece Graves went home to be with the Lord January 14, 2016. He was a lifelong resident of Seymour. Mr. Graves was retired from Robert Shaw in Knoxville where he worked as a machinist. He was a member of Seymour Masonic Lodge 334.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years Patricia Ann Dunn Graves, his parents Arlie and Dora Graves, brothers and sisters-in-laws Carl and Norma Graves, Fred and Margaret Graves and Arlie Graves, sister-in-law Sammy Hammock and brother-in-law Ralph Dunn.
Mr. Graves leaves behind his loving son and daughter-in-law Thomas and Kimberly Graves, sister-in-law Jama Graves of North Carolina, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Carolyn and Burris Olsen of California, sister-in-law Charlesey Dunn of Knoxville, several nieces and nephews and special friends Rodd Davis, David and Pam Lawson, and Craton Myers.
A special thanks to the caring nurses of Caris Hospice, Sevier County Health Care Center, and Ghirling Home Health Care.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Alder Branch Baptist Church, care of Norman Lindsey 1180 Lyndsey Dr. Sevierville, TN 37876 or Knob Creek Baptist Church, care of Robin Keck 959 N. Knob Creek Rd, Seymour, TN 37865.
Funeral service 2 PM Sunday in Atchley's Seymour Chapel with Reverend Jim Hutson officiating. Interment will be private in Knob Creek Cemetery.
