GRAVES, NORMA L. STOTT - age 83, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2007 at her home in Knoxville. She was born July 24, 1923 in Sevier County. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Roberts Methodist Church in Sevierville, where she taught the small children's class for many years. She loved children and could not have any of her own. After her marriage to Carl Graves she joined First Baptist Church in Sevierville where she was baptized and is still a member. She graduated from Sevier County High School and Draughn's Business College. She worked as a secretary, bookkeeper and receptionist for several businesses in Knoxville until retiring in 1970. She was a member of APTA and order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 69, of Knoxville. She was preceded in death by: her loving husband of 59 years, Carl W. Graves; parents, W.W. Stott and Ollie Bell Robertson Stott; brothers, Fred, Ralph and Joe Stott. She is survived by: her sister, Pauline Stott Allen of Sevierville; four nieces and four nephews. She was cared for by special nephew, Tom Graves; special friend, Allan Sherrod and loving caregiver and friend, Karen Randolph. She also leaves behind a loving housekeeper of 18 years, Leta Harbin and special neighbors, Vickie Goodin and Ruth Daniels. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Berry Funeral Home on Tuesday at 7 p.m. with Rev. W.A. Galyon and Rev. Cory Stott officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will meet Wednesday at Knob Creek Cemetery for an 11 a.m. interment service. Honorary pallbearers will be: Allan Sherrod, Tom Graves, Randy and Scotty Daniels and Eddy Householder. Special thanks to caregivers, Family Support Service, Inc., and Baptist Hospice.
