Vonda Bright, age 67, of Newport, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2002 at Baptist Hospital of Cocke County.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Bertie Fowler; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Leona Fowler.
She is survived by her husband, Ed Bright, of Newport; daughters and sons-in-law: Janie and Dennis Gilland, of Long View, TX; Mitzi and Anthony Seay, of Powell; step-children: Betty Bruce, Billy Bright, Bobby and Junior Bright; brothers and sisters-in-law: H.B. and Barbara Fowler, of Cosby; Jimmy and Pam Fowler, of Newport; brother, Wade Fowler, of Cosby; sister and brother-in-law, Bobbie Jo and J.W. Valentine, of Cosby; grandchildren: Melanie Daniel, of Long View, TX; Kevin Gilland, of Denver, CO; Brandon Ball, of Powell, TN; Hunter Seay, of Powell, TN; great-granddaughter, Katelyn Daniel, of Long View, TX; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2002 at Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Ball officiating, with burial 10 a.m. Thursday in Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral.
