James Emert McAfee, 85, of Sevierville went home to join his loved ones that were waiting for him in heaven. He began his glorious journey on Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at his home in Sevierville.
On February 2, 1919, James was born to the late Erskine Grant and Josephine Emert McAfee. Later on he met the love of his life, Rosemary Robertson McAfee, who began her glorious journey to heaven on July 31, 2003. James was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Sevierville and a lifetime member of the Sevierville Lions Club.
Leaving behind to mourn their loss but also to celebrate his life are his daughters, Pat McAfee, Jackie LaFollette and husband Carl; grandchildren, Allison Cummings, Jason LaFollette and 3 great grandchildren. Besides the immediate family, numerous nieces, nephews, caregivers and many friends will miss James.
Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2004, at Shiloh Cemetery with Rev. H. B. Hauk, Jr. and Rev. Bobby Ely officiating. Friends may call at their convenience at Rawlings Funeral Home anytime after 7:30 a.m., Thursday, March 25.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Building Fund at the First United Methodist Church of Sevierville, 214 Cedar Street, Sevierville, TN 37862.
