November 7, 1925 - June 20, 2015 Resided in Sevierville, TN Rev. Bethel C. Crisp, age 89, of Sevierville, Tennessee, born November 7, 1925, passed away 10 AM Saturday, June 20, 2015. Bethel was a World War II veteran and served in the Pacific and Atlantic. He was a Missionary Baptist Minister and pastored churches in Sevier, Blount and Knox counties. His home church was Mountain View Missionary Baptist Church. He retired from Rohm and Haas Company. Bethel was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jennifer Crisp; parents, Claude and Alice Crisp; brothers, James Crisp, "who was killed in Belgium during WWII", and Ray Crisp; sisters, Lucy Crisp and Anna Jo Crisp. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Olivia Helton Crisp; sons, James Crisp and wife Paulette, Howard Crisp and wife Carol, Joe Crisp and wife Sherry; grandchildren, The Rev. Justin E. Crisp and fiancée Jewelle Bickel, Olivia Crisp Lakatosh and husband William, Kristi Burnette and husband Barry; great-grandchildren, Deven Christianer and wife Jordan, Andy Garner, Alexis and Blake Burnette, step-great-great-grandchild Alexandrea Medenis; great-great-grandchild, Zachery Christianer. Also surviving are the siblings and families of Amy Crisp (widow of Ray Crisp) of Murphy, NC, Juanita Kilpatrick and husband Robert of Andrews, NC, Wilma Jean Owens and husband Joseph of Severn, MD, as well as Claude Crisp Jr and wife Carolyn of McDonough, GA. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Thursday with a funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville with Rev. Bill Helton and Rev.
