GASTONIA, NORTH CAROLINA-Jesse Morison Hux, 85, of 16ll East Perry Street, Gastonia, died January 29, 2001 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Cocke County, Tennessee and the son of the late Charlie and Mary Mooneyham Hux. He was retired from the City of Gastonia. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, where he was a former deacon and Sunday School teacher.
He is survived by his wife, Suella Southerland Hux, of Gastonia; son and daughter-in-law, William and Patricia Hux, of Gastonia; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Larry Hunsucker, of Belmont; brother, George Hux, of Cleveland, Ohio; five grandchildren, Wesley Hunsucker, of Belmont, David Hux, of Boiling Springs, Nikki Toomey, of Belmont, Mark Hux, of Charlotte, and Ben Hunsucker, of Belmont; and two great-grandchildren, Madelyn Hux, of Boiling Springs, and Jacob Hunsucker, of Belmont.
Funeral will be 2 p.m., Thursday, February 1, 2001, at McLean Founders Chapel, with Rev. Dickie Spargo officiating. Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Wesley Hunsucker, David Hux, Mark Hux, Ben Hunsucker, Reggie Adams, and Larry Lewis.
Family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, January 31, 2001, at McLean Funeral Directors.
