Earl C. Parton, age 86 of Sevierville, died Thursday, December 29, 2005 at Fort Sanders-Sevier Nursing Home. He was employed by the Sevier County Board of Education for 35 years and owned Smoky Mountain Riding Stables in Gatlinburg. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member and deacon of Gospel Light Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Parton; Step-Daughter, Grace Ann Carter; parents, James A. and Alice Parton.

Daughters and Sons-in-law: Brenda and Hank Brown, Mary and Bob Bundren
Grandchildren: Shannon (Ogle) and Preston Pearcey, Michael and Brandie Brown, Robin (Brown) and Greg Russell
Great Grandchildren: Olivia and Bryce Pearcey, Griffin and Faith Russell
Niece: Lucille Covington
Great-nephew: Brian “Cub” Covington
Funeral service 7 PM Friday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Kitts, Rev. Curtis Wells, and Rev. Bill Maples officiating. Interment 10 AM Saturday in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Michael Brown, Greg Russell, Preston Pearcey, Charles Abbott, Junior Manning, and Junior Ogle.
