He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Lillie Stuart Shropshire. He is survived by his wife Phebe Reese Shropshire of Parrottsville; children Charles Roger (Triena) Shropshire of Sneedville, Roy (Lisa) Shropshire of Parrottsville, Judy Shropshire Dockery of Knoxville; grandchildren Chuck and Janice (Janet) Shropshire of Parrottsville, Rusty (Amy) Dockery of Chattanooga, Justin and Dylin Shropshire of Parrottsville, Bebe Shropshire of Sneedville; great-grandchildren Chance, Mady, and Emily Shropshire of Sneedville, Kody Dockery of Chattanooga; brother Ray Shropshire of Parrottsville; sisters Birdie Sartain of White Pine, Nola Mooneyham of Ohio; also nieces, nephews and other family. Funeral services will be held 8 p.m. Wednesday March 19, 2008 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jackie Caldwell and Rev. Jeff Maloy officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday March 20, 2008 in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 6-8 Wednesday prior to the services.
