GEORGIA REESE DOUGLAS, age 83, of Baneberry, met her God on Friday, March 11, 2011 due to complications from frailty and a minor fall at her home . Georgia was a life long member of First Baptist Church, Morristown, TN and loved her many years of work at Dawson 's Woman's Shop. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Ida Reese of Chestnut Hill; sisters, Estelle Teague and Mary Burchfiel; and brothers, Holland and Ulyss Reese. She is survived by her husband, Judson A. Douglas; beloved daughter, Peggy and son-in-law Bill Waterman; sisters, Faye Owen, Addie Smelcer and Phebe Shropshire. Georgia will be remembered with love for her zest for life, love of golf and love for her Doug. Her loved ones will miss her but celebrate her transition to eternal bliss. At Georgia's request, there will only be a graveside service on Monday, March 14 at 2:00 pm, at Resthaven Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Danny George officiating. In lieu of flowers, please send any donations to Friends of Hospice: P.O. Box 1307 400 W. Main Street Suite 110. Morristown, TN 37816.
