Estelle J. Reese Teague went to sleep in the arms of Jesus, December 28, 2007. Mrs. Teague was born to Paul and Ida (Samples) Reese, February 6, 1923, and married to Edd B. Teague, November 24, 1938. Estelle worked at Valentine-Shults Hospital before it’s closing and then moved up to Cocke County Baptist where she worked several years and made many dear and life long friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edd, beloved grandson, Paul B. Teague, Jr.; brothers, Ulyess Paul and Holland C. Reese. Precious mother to sons and daughters-in-law Paul B. and Gail Teague, Newport, TN, Jack D. and Jane Teague, Hemet, CA; daughters and sons-in-law, Anna T. and Robert Poe, Colorado Springs, CO, Rita T. and Fred Flynn, Sevierville, TN; granddaughter and husband, Renita and Andy Wolf, Colorado; grandson and wife, Rodney and Julie Poe, Idaho; great grandchildren, Megan, Robert and Holly; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. (Georgia) Douglas,. Mr. and Mrs. Bill (Addie) Smelcer, all of White Pine, Mr. and Mrs. Bill (Mary) Burchfield, Mrs. Faye (Glenn) Owen, all of Sevierville, Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Phoebe) Shropshire, Parrottsville; sisters-in-law, Ardith Reese, Murfreesboro, TN, and Evelyn Reese, Dandridge, TN; many special nieces and nephews; also special ladies that Estelle spent many happy hours with eating and drinking coffee at the Cracker Barrel in Newport, Thank you, you were very special to our Mom. Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Sunday, December 30, 2007 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Hal Kirk officiating. Burial will be 11:00 am, Monday December 31, 2007 in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-7 pm Sunday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral services. A special thank you to the employees and residents of Newport Health & Rehabilitation Center where Mom lived. The love and care you showed her will always be appreciated and remembered. In lieu of Flowers memorials may be made to your local animal shelter or charity of your choice.
