Her strength lives on through each of us as a blessing to pass on to those we touch, just as she touched us with love, patience, kindness, wisdom and great leadership. Her love for flowers was a gift she passed on to her children. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Knoxville for many years and was the oldest member of the Carolyn Nelson Sunday school class. She was preceded in death by her parents O.T. and Sally Greene; husband Samuel Crockett Moon who died in 1964; infant daughter Helen Moon; brothers Omer, Orville, Charley and Arthur Greene; sisters Catherine Slover and Faye Ownby. Survivors: Daughters and sons-in-law: Beulah and Weirnell Underwood, Irene and Dewey Ownby, Mildred and James Sampley all of Knoxville Granddaughters: Judy Campbell and husband Allan of Chesapeake, VA; Angela Underwood of Austin, TX; Karen Granju and husband Nicolas of Carmel, Indiana Grandsons: Ronald Underwood and wife Marty of Knoxville, Thomas Ownby of Chesapeake, VA Ten great-grandsons Brother and sister-in-law: Curtis and Lois Roberts of Knoxville Sister: Fern Catlett Kerr of Sevierville Funeral service 2 PM Sunday at First Baptist Church, Knoxville with Rev. Dave Ward officiating. Family and friends will meet 10 AM Monday in Providence Cemetery in Sevierville for interment. Pallbearers will be Ronald Underwood, Kenneth Moon, Dwight Brock, Tommy Green, Ryan Campbell and Larry Slover. Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren, nieces and nephews and their spouses and children.
