He was a retired carpenter and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Monnie Parks; grandson, Jeff Parks; parents, Emmit and Cora Parks; brother, Lloyd Parks. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David “Bud” and Imogene Parks; daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Dwight Presnell; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Cindy and Bryan Gregg; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, David “Gene” and Wendy Parks; grandson, Chris Presnell; three-great grandchildren, Ashley Gregg, Corey Gregg and Kyler Presnell; one niece and several nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, September 4, 2006 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Keith Presnell. Entombment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Mausoleum.
