August 3, 1968 - May 12, 2016 Wanda Michelle Ownby was called home by her loving Saviour and entered Heaven's gates on Thursday, May 12, 2016. She was a member of Evergreen Presbyterian Church. Michelle was preceded in death by her father Hulet Adams; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Trentham, Rev. and Mrs. Leonard Adams; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Ownby. She is survived by her husband Roger Ownby; children, Jacob Ownby and fiancé Michelle Bearden and daughter Maddy, Jordan James and Jesse Ownby; mother, Faye Adams; sister, Melissa Rollins and husband Hoyt; brothers, Randy Adams and wife Deborah, Scott Adams and wife Johnnie Faye; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thanks to all of her many friends for their acts of kindness; also to U.T. Hospice nurse Bruce Howard and Dr. Kristopher Kimball and staff. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Atchley Funeral Home to benefit the family. The family will receive friends 2-4 PM Sunday with funeral service to follow at 4 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. Rev. Jeff Hickman officiating.
