Barbara Heatherly, age 70, of Newport, died Wednesday at Fort Sanders Select in Knoxville. She was a member of Wilsonville Baptist Church and was retired from Detroit Gasket after 25 years. Preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Hazel Williamson; grandson, Shayne Woodson; sisters, Joyce McGaha, Margie Thornton, Ruth Williamson; and brothers, Bud and Junior Williamson. Survivors are her husband, Neil Heatherly, of Newport; daughter, Frankie "Peachie" Cody, of Newport; sons, Tim and Tony Heatherly, of Newport; granddaughters, Jeanna Hemminger, Mechelle Wilson, and Jamie Naillon, of Newport; grandsons, Chan Daniels, Jessie Heatherly, Randy Hemminger, and Freddy Naillon, of Newport; great-grandchildren, Dustin White, Tyler Woodson, Cameron Wilson, Shayne Hemminger, Lindsey and Cody Naillon, and Levi Daniels, of Newport. Sisters, Carolyn Snapp and Francis Cooper, of Newport; brothers, Jack and Donnie Williamson, of Newport; special friends, Ben Hicks, Kathleen Killon, Mary and Bud Henderson, Louise Samples, Adam Sanders, The Hulda Class at the Wilsonville Baptist Church, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
