Ruth Fowler Robeson Miller age 97, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Laughlin Healthcare in Greeneville. Born in the Point Pleasant community to parents Lawson D. and Mollie Fowler. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Elsie, Gladys, and Anna; brothers Ralph, Youell and Ira. She was also preceded in death by husbands Earl Robeson and Ralph Miller. Ruth was a devoted mother, who after the sudden death of both husbands, reared 4 children by returning to work and establishing two businesses, The Beauty Box and Deeya Cosmetics. She was very generous to family and friends and believed in helping those less fortunate. She is survived by children Ronald (Carol) Robeson, Linda (Ned) Sanders, John (Barbara) Miller, Doug (Frances) Miller; also seven grandchildren Rob Sanders, Robin (Ben) Gillis, Holly (Frank) Arnold, Clark Robeson, Eric ( Mandy) Miller, Heather Miller, Luke Miller and several great grandchildren, also special neighbor and friends Brenda and Ned Ramsey. The family will receive friends at Manes Funeral Home on Sunday, May 26, 2013 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm with service to follow at 3:00 pm. Graveside to follow in Union Cemetery. The family would like to express a special thank you to staff at Wellington Assisted Living and Laughlin Healthcare in Greeneville. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ruth Miller Single Parents Fund at the First Baptist Church in Newport, Cocke County Library or Pat Summit Foundation for Alzheimer.
