JOHNSON CITY--Mr. Bobbie J. Gregg, age 69, of Johnson City, died Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center.
Mr. Gregg was a native of Newport, Tenn., and son of the late Marshall & Muncie Hensley Gregg. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gregg was preceded in death by his wife, Mary K. Gregg, five brothers and four sisters.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran.
Mr. Gregg retired from the heating & air conditioning business after 35 years as owner & operator of Gregg’s Sheet Metal Company.
Survivors include one son, Bobby (B.J.) Gregg, Jonesborough; two daughters and son-in-law, Vickie & Wasson Broyles, Telford, and Jancie Shepherd, Johnson City; one brother, L.D. Gregg, Piney Flats; eight grandchildren, Chris Gregg, Bobbie Gregg, Heather Gregg, Benny Broyles, Jennifer Broyles, David Chambers Jr., Eric Ornduff, and Mary Shepherd; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2005, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dan Foster officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2005, at Clay Creek Missionary Baptist Cemetery in Newport, Tenn.
Pallbearers will be Chris Gregg, David Chambers Jr., Eric Ornduff, and Benny Broyles.
