January 18, 1927 - June 8, 2016
Imogene (Jean) King Layman, age 89, of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2016. She attended Walden Creek United Methodist Church in Sevierville. She was a graduate of Knoxville Business College and was owner and President of Real Estate Title of Knoxville, Inc. and was affiliated with Louis Hofferbert, Attorney. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Alverta King; husbands, Charles Layman and Burnice King (her high school sweetheart whom she was reunited with following the death of Charles); brother, Curtis King; and great-nephew, Reece Duncan. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Barbara King; nieces, Laura Duncan and husband, Grant; and Kathy Martin and husband, Keith; great-nieces, Katie Duncan, Megan Martin, and Hannah Martin. Family and friends will meet at Shiloh Cemetery, Pigeon Forge Saturday, June 11, 2016 for a 3:00 PM graveside service. Family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway. Condolences may be offered at www.berryfuneralhome.com
