Maples, age 64, of Maryville, passed away Monday morning, August 27, 2012 at Tennova Inpatient Hospice in Knoxville. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was well known for giving to others. Preceded in death by his mother, Edna Cochran Maples; grandparents, Cecil H. and Carmer Peterson Cochran; aunt, Dale Montgomery. He is survived by sister, Norma Jean Bell; aunts and uncles, Darlene Kerley, Eleanor Denton, Charles and Mary Jo Cochran, John and Jill Cochran; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Tennova Hospice, 7447 Andersonville Pike Knoxville, TN 37938. Family and friends will gather 11:00 AM Thursday August 30, 2012 at Grandview Cemetery for the graveside and interment service, Rev. Danny Buchanan officiating.
