Bessie Mae “Jill” Cochran -age 90 of Maryville, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Maryville since 1948. She was a retired school teacher having taught in the Blount County School System for 40 years. Preceded in death by parents, John B. and Manda Hutton Montgomery; brother, Bert Montgomery, cousins, Kate Kagley and Aline Hammond.
Survivors include her husband, John M. Cochran; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles and Mary Jo Cochran; sisters-in-law, Eleanor Denton and Darlene Kerley; several other cousins.
Family and friends will meet at Grandview Cemetery 11:00 A.M. Saturday for a graveside service with Rev. Larry Carroll officiating. Friends may call at their convenience at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church of Maryville, 804 Montvale Station Road, Maryville, TN 37803 or to Oakland Methodist Cemetery Trigonia.
