Wanda ''Aileen'' Kirkland Tipton, age 68 of Maryville died Friday, March 26, 2004, at Maryville Healthcare Center. She attended Friendship Baptist Church. She was a well known Caterer throughout East Tennessee. Preceded in death by: husband, Murphy Lee Tipton; mother and father, Walter and Minnie Kirkland; brothers, Ralph and Howard Kirkland. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Kim Tipton of Friendsville; daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Bill Vaughn of Knoxville and Tricia and Bill Fogarty of Knoxville; grandchildren, Donald Pendley Jr., Derrick Pendley, Brooke Fogarty, Austin Fogarty, Brandon McBee; great-grandchildren, Haven Pendley and Zachary Pendley; brothers, Roy Lee Kirkland, John Kirkland, Clyde Ray Kirkland; sisters, Jean Ogle, Nanny Ethel Watkins, Louise Click, Mary Ann Whaley. Mrs. Tipton had a large family with nieces, nephews, and many special friends. Funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 28, 2004 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Jimmy Riner officiating. Memorial donations may be made to: American Diabetes Association, 900 E. Hill Avenue, Ste. 240, Knoxville, TN 37915. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
