Hollis “Frosty” Carrell, age 81, of Newport, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2004, at Baptist Hospital of Cocke County. He was a member of English Creek Baptist Church. He was owner and operator of Hartsell and Carrell Clothing and also was an employee of Parks-Belk Company for 18 years. He was preceded in death by his son, Kerry Dale Carrell; brothers, Clifford, Earl, Clyde, and Arnie Carrell. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jean Hartsell Carrell, of Newport; very special nephew, Jeff Ball; very faithful sister-in-law, Myra Ball, of Newport; also other nieces, nephews, and many friends. Funeral services will be held 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Manes Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Stephen Smith officiating. Burial will be11: 00 a.m. Thursday in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral service. Manes in charge.
