A devoted husband, father, and brother, he is survived by his wife of 51 years, Charlotte Bradshaw Acuff ; daughter, Deborah (Debbie) Acuff ; sisters, Helen Caton and Sally Julian, both of Knoxville, Betty Dyer and husband, Dewey of Greeneville, Tenn., and Shirley Cumpton and husband, Dennis of Friendsville, Tenn., and several nieces and nephews; three brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law. Family and friends will meet Thursday at the W. Adair entrance to Lynnhurst Cemetery for an 11 a.m. graveside service with Rev. Gene Wood, Jr. officiating.
