Alene James Bailey, age 85, of Parrottsville, when to be with her Lord, Sunday, August 20, 2017, at the home of her son Tony Bailey, where she had battled several years with Dementia. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leonard E. Bailey; parents, Jakie and Ethel James; brothers, Virgil James, O. L. James, Lee Von James; and sister, Lola Ball. She is survived and will be missed by her son, Tony Bailey; son and daughter-in-law, Tip and Beverly Bailey; sister, Edith James, several nieces, nephews, other family and friends. The family would like to thank Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice for their service and sending the best for her care. Special thanks to Carla Grooms for her loving touch, long-time caring friend Deloris Robinson and a loving (grand-daughter) Alexis Norton, who brought sunshine to her day. Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Tuesday, August 22, 2017 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Ricky Dennis and Larry Ball officiating. Burial will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, Union Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Glen Black, Ricky Holt, Brian Holt, Kevin Ball, Michael Shelton and Logan Starritt. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Tuesday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral services.
