Kathy Lee Turner Jackson Quinton, age 52, of Newport, passed away at home with her loved ones around her, Tuesday, May 26, 2009, to go home to be with the Lord. When she was able she attended Greggs Chapel Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Edgar C. Turner, Parrottsville. She is survived by her children, Sherman Jackson (Charity), Shana Jackson; and her grandchildren, John Mitchell, McKenzie Mitchell and Sabrina Jackson; all of Newport, her mother, Wanda Turner, Parrottsville; sisters and brothers, Sheila (Clayton) Presnell, Parrottsville, Brenda (Willie) Winters, Newport, Jimmy (Janice) Turner, of Parrottsville; also several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her. She leaves behind a wonderful legacy of love and friendship behind. A special thank you to Amedisys Hospice Services, for the love and care shown during her illness and to the family; also for all prayers and visits from the family and friends, the love shown during her illness, were greatly appreciated. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Friday, May 29, 2009 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Jeremy Thornton and Rev. Manson Lee officiating. The family will meet at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 11:00 am, Saturday, May 30, 2009 for the burial. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm prior to the funeral services. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made towards funeral expense.
