Woody - Byrd engagement
Michelle Ann Woody, daughter of Don and Diane Woody, of Morristown, is engaged to marry J.R. Byrd, son of Cindi Byrd and Les Byrd, both of New Market, at 2 p.m. May 16 at Manley Baptist Church, Morristown.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Pauline Phipps, of Maryville, the late Gene Phipps, and Lacy and Esta Woody, of Louisville.
The future bridegroom is the grandson of Ronnie and Chloe Ann Lethco, of Dandridge, and Carl and Lorene Byrd, of New Market.
The bride-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Gateway Christian Academy, a 2007 graduate (summa cum laude) of Walters State Community College with an associate degree in Spanish and will graduate in May (magna cum laude) from Carson-Newman College with a Bachelor of Science degree in family and consumer sciences education. She plans to teach high school family and consumer sciences.
The bridegroom-to-be is a 2004 graduate of Gateway Christian Academy, a 2007 graduate (magna cum laude) of Walters State Community College with an associate degree in physics and mathematics, and will graduate in May (magna cum laude) from Carson-Newman College with a Bachelor of Science degree in physics and a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology. He plans to attend medical school.
