Clark-Wiley engagement
Carrie Michelle Persis Clark, daughter of Rex and Peggy Clark, of Maryville, is engaged to marry David Hamilton Wiley, son of David Wiley and Kathy Karnes, both of Knoxville, at 12 p.m. May 16 at Middle Brook Gardens. Invitations will be sent.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Illo Clark, of Seymour, the late Fred Clark, and the late Jean and Elmer Hurst.
The future bridegroom is the grandson of John and Betty Karnes, of Knoxville, Joan Wiley and the late Jack Wiley.
The bride-to-be attended Maryville High School. She is employed at Clayton Homes.
The bridegroom-to-be attended the University of Tennessee. He is employed at Nielsen.

Wiley-Clark wedding
Carrie Michelle Persis Clark, of Maryville, daughter of Rex and Peggy Clark, of Maryville, was united in marriage with David Hamilton Wiley, of Knoxville, son of David C. Wiley and Kathy Karnes, both of Knoxville, at 12 p.m. May 16 at Middlebrook Gardens, Knoxville. Dr. John Franklin officiated.
Sara Carpenter, of Seymour, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Becky Shaver, of Maryville, and Elizabeth Anne Wiley, of Johnson City, sister of the bridegroom.
Daniel Hancock, of Seymour, was ring bearer. Courtney Caldwell kept the bride's book.
Adam Hudson, of New York City, was best man. Groomsmen were Stephen Lacy and Trey Nennstiel, both of Knoxville. Jeff Miller, of Knoxville, was usher.
A reception followed at Middlebrook Gardens.
After a wedding trip to Costa Rica, the couple are living in Cincinnati.
The bride is a graduate of Maryville High School. She is employed by Fifth Third Bank in the mortgage division.
The bridegroom is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. He is employed by The Nielsen Company as an analyst.
