Cables’ 60th Darrell and Evelyn (Riden) Cable, of Greenback, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a drop-in reception from 4 to 6 p.m. April 13 at the Greenback Depot. Everyone is invited for a dessert bar. They request no gifts. The couple were married April 5, 1953, at their home in Greenback. Their family includes daughters and sons-in law Jan and Joe Cope, Renee and Tommy Berry, Sherry and Chris Vogt, Kelly and Gary Lewelling, and Missy and Ritchie Anderson, all of Greenback; Cissy Lee, of Madisonville; and son and daughter-in-law Rick and Sherry Riden, of Maryville. They have 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Mr. Cable is retired from ALCOA Inc., but is still a full-time farmer. Mrs. Cable runs the Soap Store in Vonore. They attend Morganton Baptist Church.
