Harold and Peggy Kilgore of Newport celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary on December 20. Family and friends gathered at Northport Baptist Church to share in the couple’s milestone. They were married December 20, 1963 at the home of her brother and sister-in-law L. S. and Eudena Wood. Mrs. Kilgore is the daughter of the late Scott Boyer and Lucy (Turner) Wood, and Mr. Kilgore is the son of Ellen Mae (Kilgore) Overton and step-son of the late Joseph Vance Kilgore. They have two children, Melanie (Kilgore) James and Melinda Kilgore, and two granddaughters Hanna James and Riley Kilgore.
